This Pre-filter/Regeneration Kit is used as a pre-filter when filling your RV/Boat water tank and used as a regeneration kit when regenerating your water softener. This unit is design to reduce the amount of time it takes to regenerate your portable water softener and increase the efficiency of the regeneration cycle. With each full load of salt (about 4lbs) this unit will regenerate a 16,000 grain system in one backwash cycle (30 minutes). This unit will double the efficiency of your regeneration cycle by fully mixing the brine with your resin bed. The old method only regenerates 40% and requires the user to tip over the heavy unit to remove water, then add salt through a tiny hole followed by shaking the unit, leaving it for an hour and then backwashing the unit for an additional 20 minutes.
